SubPac® integrates wicking and fluid drainage with an absorbent dressing allowing Advanced Fluid Management in one easy-to-use device — the only subdermal wound dressing of its kind.
SubPac® is a 6-inch wound dressing system utilizing PHMB-treated packing strips available in two widths — 1½ inch and 2½ inch — combined with a multi-layered absorbent wound dressing incorporating Algidex Ag® Silver Alginate.
Across a case series of 14 high-risk surgical patients at three major New York hospital systems — including patients in septic shock, immunocompromised states, and contaminated wound classifications — SubPac® achieved a zero-infection outcome with no unplanned readmissions.
"SubPac® Wound Care is a patented, FDA 510(k)-cleared subdermal incisional dressing indicated for use in adults and pediatrics. The device is designed to actively remove transudate and exudate from deep within the wound bed into an overlying external dressing. Across all reported cases to date, SubPac® has achieved a zero-infection outcome in high-risk surgical populations."
